Seniors 60+

Seniors from 60 years of age, who are recipients of an old age pension, disability pension or service pensions, have the right for a reduced fare.

They prove the right for the reduced fare when applying for a smart card by presenting a certificate about receiving the old age pension, invalidity pension or service pension issued by the Social Insurance Agency of the Slovak Republic, or by presenting an identification card of a pensioner issued by the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic.

Seniors 62+

Passengers older than 62 years travel automatically for the reduced fare. They prove the right for the reduction with an identity document.

Seniors 70+

Passengers older than 70 years are entitled for a special fare, which is provided in the form of a 365 day prepaid travel ticket – SeniorPas IDS BK. A person without a SeniorPas can, similarly as a 62+ seniors, use reduced travel tickets.

It is possible to record a SeniorPas only electronically on to a smart card issued by one of the transport operators. The SeniorPas is free.
